I have two variety’s of Lemon Balm in the garden, one is yellow and the other is green.  They both taste about the same.  Does anybody know what they call the different coloured plants?

Lemon Balm is very easy to grow, as long as it is watered in well, it will take hold.  The green variety seems more vigorous than the yellow one.

Lemon Balm is reputed to have many benefits, there a number of

clinical trials going ahead and they point to positive proof. To improve the results of Lemon balm, it can be added to an alcoholic tincture.

It is extremely easy to make a tea out of Lemon balm.  Pick some fresh leaves and wash.  Then chop up and put in a flask, pour hot water onto it and leave for 5 to 10 minutes before drinking.  Pour through a sieve to remove any leaves.

At the very least you will have a different variety of herbal tea to drink, that tastes quite pleasant.

All the best
