Anston Sheffield and district steam and vintage traction engine rally fair 2014

The annual event is next weekend the 28/29th June 2014.  It has been running now for over 10 years and is well worth a visit if you haven’t been before.

If you come into North Anston from the A57 either from Worksop or Sheffield, half way up the Baulk where the post office is, turn right and go down Radford Rd.  The road will narrow from a two way highway to a single track.  Turn right into the field where it is sign posted to do so.

It starts from 10am until 5:30pm.  It costs around £5/6 for adults and is cheaper for children.

You will be able to look around a number of vintage steam engines and they will also do some displays.  There are normally steam organ’s and fair ground rides.  There is also steam farm equipment.

You will also find a vintage car display and a number of stalls.  Food will be on sale, but I would bring a picnic if you are making into an all day affair.

If you live in Anston, I recommend leaving your car at home and taking the short walk down to the fair.

All the best

Tim
