Anston and Dinnington merge into Danningston

When my parents came to Anston in 1966, it had a population of 3K and was totally separate to Dinnington which had a population of 5K.  Both villages have grown to about 10K (20K combined), however they are joined at the hip like siamese twins.  The people of Anston have very few services and have to use the neighbouring shops in Dinnington.  When I came to Anston it had far more shops for a third of the people, having a couple of Co-ops at the bottom of the baulk.

We may as well be one village now and be called Danningston, which would mean that we

could cut costs and have one Parish council and half the number of councillors.

All the best
