Temple public house Sheffield rd photograph

Photography Anston, Dinnington, Sheffield, South Yorkshire, North Nottinghamshire and UK

This pub was closed back in 2000.  At one bit it was situated next to the largest electric melting shop in the world on the Sheffield to Rotherham border and was a very busy pub.   Much of the old melting shop is now the Magna museum.

The current building is much more tidy and clean than the one I remember back in the 1980’s, when I worked at British Steel Rotherham.   You would be lucky to see one member of the opposite sex in this pub, it was a very filthy bare place.

Have you any stories about it?
