I didn’t even know that there was a Parkhill estate until Sunday when I was looking for the entrance to Firbeck Hall. Firbeck hall is another story in its own right. In the picture, you will see the entrance Lodge to Parkhill house which no longer exists. Parkhill estate was an estate of 500 acres and I don’t know whether it exists anymore, I suspect it was sold off as individual lots. Parkhill house was knocked down in 1935 and was never rebuilt. Anthony St Ledger the person who created the St Ledger stakes lived at Parkhill house. You may have heard of the Parkhill stakes if you are a horse racing person.
The track down the side of Parkhill lodge leads to Parkhill farmhouse, which is a listed building. This is a private rd.
All the best
